Hi everyone,
I know a family in Atlanta, Georgia whose female relative, after slavery, without knowing it, married her son.
The man and woman had deep heart love for each other. One day, while the husband and wife were playing around, the mother saw a scar on her husband’s body. Then, she knew her husband was, also, her son. They both had been separated on the auction block, at different times, and sent to Georgia and that is why they met. Grandmother Julie and a friend’s relative are only two ways white master slave man set the foundation for wrongful Negro family behavior. Knowingly, a mother could not remain her son’s wife.
Grandmother Julie and this woman show the severity and inhumanity of separating families on
the auction block.
Here, again, do not dwell on it. Fix your own family to the utmost, so that it will not have a hint of unkindness, violence, and disobedient children. Believe that life is what you make of it! Do your best to make it good by learning family rules in the Bible and using its teachings in all family relations, which will insure you of a stable and fixed family.
