Hi everyone,

Daddy had his own mischievous story that yielded a whipping.

One night, his brothers heard him taking one of Grand Mama’s chickens out of the chicken yard. He sold the chicken to buy dipping snuff and chewing tobacco. Uncle Jack said, "The next day, while Paw was at the man's grocery store, he saw Monh’s chicken walking around. It doesn't take much imagination to realize that he went back home and ‘tore your daddy up’ [whipped him].”

Daddy in the early part of the twentieth century has companionship today in 2016. There are students who steal money, jewelry, dolls, collectibles, measuring cups, pictures out of photograph books, fine crystal water drinking and champagne glasses, and the list goes on. When adult children steal from their parents, they commit sin and will pay for in sickness, relationships, theft of valuables from them, or in some way. In my daddy’s case, he was a child, admitted his wrong doing, and was whipped, which is the right thing to do, in the childrearing process, and he will not be punished by God for that disobedience to his mother. On the other hand, everyone in the first group will reap God’s wrath, sooner or later.

When children, then and now want something from their parents, they should ask for it, and, if they can afford it, they will give it to them, and if parents refuse them, children should have a good inner attitude and enjoy letting their parents continue to enjoy what belongs to them. Yes, stealing is a sin and it should be avoided everywhere, including the workplace. Refrain from stealing loves one’s self and stealing is a lack of love for one’s self, and I hope we all are this person and, if not, others will be afraid to let us be around them.
