Hi everyone,

What is tar?

Tar is a blackish brown liquid that carries the scent of pine and is impure turpentine. It has many uses and is, therefore, blended with solvents for use in varnishes and wood sealants and used as pitch to seal wooden ships. It is used to break up coughing and congestion in horses, as an antiseptic, and is mixed as salve to treat cuts, abrasions, and skin rashes.

Tar has many more uses.
