Hi everyone,
Daddy didn’t ever take his eyes and heart off Annie Bell.
He loved her because she was pretty with silky hair, had never had a boyfriend, and had been taught how to work by her Uncle Sam and Aunt Sarah. Besides, they were both born in 1908, Daddy had never heard her say a negative word or commit a negative action against anyone, including Mama Sarah, who worked her so very hard, and Daddy was that way. Therefore, he later told me, he considered her a good woman and a good match for him.
It follows that Daddy walked up to Mama, one Sunday, and asked for them to court, and she, cordially, agreed.
